1. Data controller
Affiliation Atlas ("we", "us") is the controller for personal data collected via this website. Contact: contact@affiliationatlas.com.
2. What we collect
- Partnership / contact form: name, email, company, role type (advertiser / publisher / other), message, consent timestamp, optional UTM tags, and a one-way hash of your IP (not the raw IP).
- First-party analytics: page path, referrer, UTM parameters, browser language, a random session id in local storage, and an IP hash. No advertising pixels. No sale of data. Used only to measure traffic on this site.
- Notice preference: we store that you saw the cookie/privacy notice in local storage so we do not show it on every visit.
- Security / hosting logs: our host may temporarily log IPs and requests to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
3. Why we process data (purposes & legal bases)
- Respond to partnership inquiries - Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and/or Art. 6(1)(a) (consent via the form checkbox).
- First-party analytics (page views) - Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding aggregate traffic and operating the site). We keep this minimal: no ads, no third-party trackers, IP stored only as a hash. You may object by emailing us.
- Remember privacy notice / site security - Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and/or Art. 6(1)(c) where required.
- Spam prevention (honeypot + rate limits) - Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We do not use third-party advertising cookies. On this site:
- Essential / notice: local storage key

aa_sid(random session id) and page-view beacons to our own server (/api/beacon.php) so we can count visits and unique sessions. - Admin area only: a session cookie for staff login to the site's lead/stats admin - not used for public visitors.

5. Fonts & third parties
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may connect to Google's servers (which can process your IP). We do not control Google's processing. Partner portals (affiliates / publishers) are separate systems. Hosting and email providers process data on our behalf under contract.
6. Retention
- Contact leads: kept while needed to handle the inquiry or relationship, then archived or deleted.
- Analytics events: retained for aggregate reporting; we do not store raw IP addresses for analytics.
- Consent preference: until you clear it or change it.
7. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or data portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Children
This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do.
